Sports in Greater Des Moines
History
The Des Moines Area Sports Commission (DMASC) became an official supporting organization of the Greater Des Moines CVB in 2008. The DMASC, previously known as the Greater Des Moines Sports Authority, was established as an organization in 1992 and was known as the Sports Authority until 2002 when it entered into a support agreement and came under the umbrella of the Greater Des Moines CVB.
Today the DMASC's mission is to establish Greater Des Moines as the premier Midwest community for recreational and competitive sport participation and competition.
